Be Alive!

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Eat the delicious food. Walk in the sunshine. Jump in the ocean. Say the truth that you’re carrying in your heart like hidden treasure. Be silly. Be kind. Be weird. There’s no time for anything else.”

~Keanu Reeves.

I came across this quotation a while ago and just could not resist the temptation to share it with my readers.  It is an amazing message from an amazing personality.

Reeves is an interesting guy. He makes some fun popcornmovies and he also does some serious stuff. He is not your typical movie star personality and strikes me as a guy I’d enjoy having a couple of beers and a conversation with.

Well said. Especially “Say the truth that you’re carrying in your heart like hidden treasure.” If we have hidden treasure, be it optimism or open-mindedness or good advice, we should share it with others.

  4. The “be silly” resonates with me. In spite of social pressure I’ve always treasured and nurtured that part of me. And blogging is the easiest way to share our truths. Happiness as a spiritual practice, life as a shared adventure.

i too like Keanu Reeves. i especially liked him in the movie with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. he was excellent in that as a young doctor. not a single over~acting moment from him. beautiful.
nice to know he has depth of character too.

    • You must ask some people around you and who know you well if any of the suggestions are already being followed by you. In my opinion I think the answer is yes to most.

A number of people I know do not find Keanu a compelling actor. I have always enjoyed his movies (fun and serious) and like what I have seen of his approach to life.

I thought that he was the bloke who said … “Life’s a bitch and then you die” ! … 😉
