Seven Books That I Love. 4

My friend Ekoshapu has thrown this challenge to me. I have to post just the image of the cover of the book every day for the next seven days to share with my readers my top seven favourite books.

I’m reading you alright Ramana but our tastes in books are so vastly different it makes me laugh. But in a good way.

Isn’t it the same book on which the 1972 movie Siddhartha starring Shashi Kapoor and Simi Garewal was based?

I know that movie for the wrong reason (Hint: Google “siddhartha movie shashi kapoor” ) 🙂

Surprised to see this book in your list. The movie must have completely missed the essence of the book.

    • Every Indian adolescent male of that vintage knows of that movie for the same reason as you do. I was not an adolescent but a father already but liked it for completely different reasons. The answer is yes. The movie was based on the same novel as this.
