Vimlu Wadhwani. RIP.

One of my great supports and a greater inspiration Vimlu left her body earlier this morning and I have just returned from her cremation.

Vimlu and I had a special bond because we shared the same birthday and ever since we became neighbours twenty three years ago, we have celebrated the day together. In a very remarkable way, our lives moved more or less on parallel paths with Vimlu giving care to her semi invalid husband Chandru and I to Urmeela.

Vimlu’s daughter Neelam was here during the last days and that is a great strength now for Chandru and Neelam’s brother Ashok.

Vimlu’s wide circle of friends and all her relatives will all miss her sorely.  May her soul rest in eternal peace.

My sympathy on the loss of your friend, Vimlu, You have talked to me so much about her over the years, I felt I knew her. A really wonderful lady and my heart goes out to her family. For some reason, she came into my thoughts last night and I wondered how she was doing.

So sorry for your loss! She looks very young in this picture. Was her death premature?

Ramana – So sorry to hear about the passing of your dear friend. I also have a good friend with whom I share a birthday. There indeed does seem to be a special bond there in those cases. May she forever rest in peace.

    • The birthday coincidence came to light after we became friends and that helped cement a very strong bond between the two couples when my wife was alive too. Today, both her husband and I are left to fend for ourselves and while I am somewhat better off, her husband has serious health problems and quite how things will pan out is anybody’s guess.

There is little anyone can say that will ease the loss of a good friend who replenished your soul. But to have known such a person as your valued friend will always be a great joy for you. I am sorry for your loss.

  7. My condolences to you, Ramana. I Imagine that you’ll hear her words of comfort, and feel her presence as you go about your day. She has left her body; she hasn’t left your heart.
