One hundred and eleven.

This year will experience 4 unusual dates….
1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11….

NOW go figure this out…. take the last 2 digits of the year you were born,
plus the age you will be this year and it WILL EQUAL …. 111

THIS IS SO STRANGE……NO MATTER HOW U DO IT …….. ITS 111….

The number 111 is also identified with what is popularly known as Naamam. The Sanskrit for which is Sricharanam. Indians who follow the Vaishnava tradition, can be identified by the mark on their foreheads.

Many of my readers will be familiar with Mr. B K S Iyengar popular as a yoga teacher, who wears one variation of this, with just the middle vertical line.

Followers of Shiva will apply Vibhuti/Bhasma in three horizontal lines. The popular belief in Hindu tradition is that applying Vibhuti, or Bhasma, or sacred ash, on forehead and other parts of the body will help in redemption of sins. In Hinduism, Bhasma or Vibhuti is associated with Shiva.

Aging?

This post has been inspired by Cheerful Monk who left a delightful comment on my post “I am not even good enough”.. I quote – “Time is on your side. The older you get the greater the ratio of females to males. I keep telling my husband that I plan to die first, that he will have no problem getting snatched up because he knows how to dance. :D”

Just have the speakers turned on.
