Does Time Run Out?

“People are usually pretty hungry after a funeral. I guess it’s because we all realize that time is running out and we better eat all we can. Please don’t mention that to my mother.”
~ Peter Hedges

In my humble opinion, time neither runs out nor runs in. It simply is. A concept. Our lives run in or out depending on how we treat it.

But to change the question to “Is time running out?” I would say, no, it is not but something else is.  (Please click on the image to get a GIF effect.)

  1. Our concept of time is run of the mill 🙂 we either have a measurement (a clock, a month or year) or have events to attach to time, and that is how time “is” otherwise there is no time. Isnt it?

  2. I don’t agree. Of course time can be running out – time to do all the things you haven’t done in life, time to get to the shop before it closes, time to renew your driving licence.

Are people hungry after a funeral? I’ve never noticed that myself. They probably just seem hungry because they’re scoffing every freebie in sight.
