Zero without it, is how I would start.
I don’t use twitter unlike the guy in the cartoon. I however am quite active on FaceBook and WhatsApp. These two are enough to give me sufficient activity to keep me out of mischief. It has now come to that stage where I wonder how I lived without these two tools and also the facilitator that makes it possible, the smartphone!
Shackman had suggested the topic for this week’s LBC Friday post. You can see what the other writers of the LBC have to say in their respective blogs. Maria, Pravin and Shackman.
Hmm – I have never heard of WhatsApp – I will have to check it out. Like you, I hang out a bit on Facebook and I suppose our blogs can be considered social media.
Even when I don’t like being on WhatsApp groups, it automatically includes you if someone starts a group. You can get out of the group only subsequently and it always leaves a bad taste in the group when one does that. I try and limit my own postings on it to the bare minimum but you will be surprised by the number of posts that I am forced to read everyday. I do catch your posts on Facebook.
I prefer blogging. 🙂

My first choice but unfortunately when you have as wide a net work of friends and family like I do, it is difficult not to be part of the other two.
I enjoy Facebook for all sorts of reasons, but in the end like Jean I still prefer blogging. You can write at length about something and get very perceptive comments in return.

I can live without it ! … Now, let’s get back to blogging .. 😉

Agreed that we get back to blogging, but I am compelled by friends and family to be on the other two facilities.
My post is only gone up now. I don’t know what I could say about social media that hasn’t already been said, so I wrote a very different type of post.
Yeah, don’t see you on Twitter anymore….

As I had informed you over the phone, your post is yet to make its appearance. I eagerly look forward to reading it.
I don’t seem to be very adventurous in social media.
it seems that people either love it or hate it.
I am addicted enough these days just reading articles and blogs on this thing! 😀

If your circle of friends and family is small, you can get away without social media, not otherwise.
So I sort of agree with the cartoon: Tweeting and Facebooking and Blogging aren’t actually doing anything.

I agree.
I haven’t cared to switch to a smart phone yet as am quite happy with my cell. Opened FB and Linked In years ago — posted little info — became disillusioned with Zuckerberg’s manipulating for FB — decided I was no longer interesting in networking, so ceased to use either one. Not particularly interested in Twittering as I might have been at a different stage in my life, or if my activities were different. Blogging it is for me but spend more time on it than I think best.

Interesting point since most of extended family no longer living, so those numbers are small — actually increasingly true of many friends, but a surprising — to me — number use computer minimally, or a few even not at all. Guess I’m just not addicted enough yet — except for blogging.
