Zero without it, is how I would start.
I don’t use twitter unlike the guy in the cartoon. I however am quite active on FaceBook and WhatsApp. These two are enough to give me sufficient activity to keep me out of mischief. It has now come to that stage where I wonder how I lived without these two tools and also the facilitator that makes it possible, the smartphone!
Shackman had suggested the topic for this week’s LBC Friday post. You can see what the other writers of the LBC have to say in their respective blogs. Maria, Pravin and Shackman.
I find f/b great – I’ve long lost friends (many around the world), family (worldwide/local), friends (local), friends (never met, similar interests), organisations that I’m either active in or not, a few closed groups and about to make a secret group for my own clan (where I’m the head honcho because my elderly sister doesn’t do the Net)…
Photos, interesting links, other peoples creativity and so forth…
I also read a number of blogs, but don’t always comment…watch uTube doco’s from time to time, listen to music
Right now I’m listening to a short podcast daily that usually is under 10mins of my time, and it’s inspiration ++ from a business sense of the word.
Of course, if I want to know something – Google finds me some extraordinary extras…
THEN: I do have a life, that causes me to make things with my hands…but of doing things out of the house, that is a commitment – not many, taking a break from being a social butterfly in the voluntary world…
Yes, all of do have lives outside the social media but there are others who seem to be most comfortable within it!
Hi Rummy,
I am not much of a Social Media user (if we exclude Blogger, of course) due to lack of patience and time, I confess lol.
Cheers

You are blessed Max.
I’m actually considering a facebook break – it’s felt oppressive lately. It’s the only other social media thing I do besides blogging and its mostly to keep up with family and old friends.

I find myself spending less and less time on Facebook every day as I find too many shares from a few friends which get on my nerves.
I cannot tell a lie…I am totally plugged in. I have a couple of twitter accounts but (I shouldn’t admit) only tweet when I publish on my blogs or get het up about something to the point that I must go public. On Facebook I keep up with much of my family although the youngest generation has abandoned FB for Instagram and Snapchat. I have an Instagram account but am pretty quiet there, too. I could be known as a lurker. I watch but don’t post much. I spend an inordinate amount of time on some electronic device or other.

You are not alone. I think that it is just a matter of degrees of involvement.
