  1. Interesting. I relax and stop thinking in some cases by watching popcorn movies – no thought required. Sometimes I listen to certain kinds of music. Classical is great for me – no thought required. Viscous circles are rarities for me but they do happen.

    1. My regular meditation routine has enabled me to be alert and drop unwanted thoughts when they crop up. It has also given me greater focus on whatever it is that I do at the moment.

  2. i have learned to love early morning and the later blue hour of the day both.
i have times then that I sit quietly. no music. no tv or computer. it is wonderful.
it does require if at all possible being near a window… and feeling the fresh air.
and if it is raining… so much the better! it is like food and drink for me.
it seems to be that necessary.

  3. Interesting, I guess. I decided a long time ago not to worry about those things I can do nothing about and for those things I can do something about, I don’t worry, because I am doing what I can to address them.

  4. I do have a monkey mind from time to time -but I often also have just solitude – as in sitting quietly but doing some different…often that is when ideas come to me, stuff that needs solving – a solution arrives…

today whilst I was out wandering about as I have a habit to do – an solution arrived on an object that used at the other house under very different circumstances but in a way for the same reason – but here the object that has a kind of clamp on it – wouldn’t fit anywhere that seems like the right place!

Today, and as I type it’s clamped onto something….something I didn’t have in the other house – whether it works from what I need remains to be seen…
