Looney had this to say in his comments on my post “My Blog”.
“After that technologically sounding post, I would hope you could follow up with a thorough statistical analysis of the traffic sources.”
I will eventually get around to doing that in detail, but since I want to post a test post, here is a snap shot of some statistics for two days. Please click on the image for a larger resolution.
Shanker / Nandu, Bingo! Have solved the problem. Henceforth, you should be able to post images in the comments column when I link my blog posts here on facebook.
Ah! this is what I wanted to do on an earlier post….provide you a ‘alternate’ profile pic !
Ah! Analytics Widget …..I know what you have been doinggggg!
Sigh ! Think of all the pics you missed ! 🙂
Interesting overload on your blog there Ramana. I do get a lot of traffic mostly on some anti-porn posts I’ve done and any blog post mentioning variants of sex. But fingers crossed no problems with that so far.
Yes, and nothing like a dog to celebrate our comings and goings, yeah?

WWW, that interesting overload caused me enough problems and now I hope that things will be quieter. The dog has made a great deal of difference in our lives the last fifteen months.
I’m not being picky, but that chart covers four weeks and not two days. Even on a blurry day I wondered why there were four columns so enlarged it to have a better look. It is amazing how some words draw unwanted attention.

GM, thank you for pointing that out. I have never even seen that. I wanted something to post for a test post to link to facebook and that comment from Looney came handy and I simply inserted that. The comments from the host is genuine and there was an overload and I don’t have the numbers.
I think all hosting companies are having issues these days. I know I have at least sixty failed log-in attempts to my blog every twenty four hours. Hackers must earn good wages….!

You just “liked” one of my posts, and so I looked up what time it was in India via Google. The internet told me India was GMT +5:30. I did not want to be an ignorant American, but was curious to ask if timezones were typically 30 minutes. We thought this question fit well with your statistical blog.
Yes, the half hour is also possible. It disappears in the summer though!
