I hope that you enjoy reading this post on the weekly Friday Loose Bloggers Consortium where eleven of us write on the same topic. Today’s topic has been chosen by Delirious. The ten other bloggers who write regularly are, in alphabetical order, Delirious, gaelikaa, Grannymar, Maxi, Maria SF, Padmum, Paul, Rohit,Shackman, The Old Fossil and Will. Do drop in on their blogs and see what their take is on this week’s topic. Since some of them may post late, do give some allowance for that too!
Who would have ever thought that Delirious can come up with this topic. Coming from her, this is a Doosra. My response to Delirious – “Wouldn’t you like to know?” More importantly, I am all agog to read her post on this very intriguing topic.
No, that is not me nor my mother. But you get the drift? That was my first kiss that I remember.
If however Delirious has other ideas, I shall oblige. I will be less than truthful if I did not confess to that very first kiss that made me feel like Rhett Butler in Gone With The Wind.
But for that to happen, my readers, AND Delirious will have to wait for a couple of weeks. That story will appear in my stories series soon.
Now let us go over to Delirious and the others to read what they have to say about that experience.
and here i thought there’d be something spicy!!! First kisses – anticipated but often disappointing 😛
Patience dear, patience.
Ramana, you’ve done the hitherto unthinkable: You managed to arouse my interest in cricket. Doosra, not only a lovely sounding word, but the concept so appeals to me, and I quote your link: “The doosra spins in the opposite direction to an off break (the off-spinner’s default delivery), and aims to confuse the batsman into playing a poor shot.”
Before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion: I don’t relish condemning others to ‘playing a poor shot’. Not at all. But I love to confuse. And be confused. Keeps you on your toes. Lateral thinking and all that.
Other than that: What a tease you are. Can’t wait to hear the story of your first kiss. Though, of course, there are many more ‘first’ kisses than one.

Now, you have bowled a doosra to me!
No, my Rhett Butler moment will not be earthshaking but will give you an idea of what environment existed in my youth. Just be a little patient.
I thought of my mom and dad, too.

Tammy, I like your style!

You slay me Tammy. Did the mirror kiss you back? That behaviour incidentally, is called narcissism.
oh rummy!
the first time you have offended me! it was not narcissism at all. it was a little innocent teenage girl worried to death she would get a kiss and not know how to do it properly! shame on you!
but hugs anyway to your manlike wrong perspective!

My apologies Tammy. It was not my intention to offend you. I thought that I was being funny.
You are anything but a narcissist and I know it very well.
Thanks for understanding and the hugs.
My first kiss was of course to/from my parents. My first romantic kiss was a young woman trainee solicitor called Sue. The anticipation was enormous and the kiss itself didn’t disappoint, it was most exciting! It took me some time to realise that kisses can vary enormously from electrifyingly exciting to utterly bland.

India abolished the solicitor system after independence. Now soliciting is an offense here. I wish that some old anglophile solicitor would now do me the honours. May be it would be like the famous bland food one hears about.
I don’t even recall, a first…of course, I have kissed but was it enough to store as memory…ummm

Yes, continue with that ummm. You may just come up with some nice memories.
