Let’s hope this was staged. Otherwise it’s too painful to contemplate.
Still, and thank you, Ramana, from now on I shall take this simple question to gauge if any person running across my path was the result of incest. Or dropped on their head by the midwife.
That was embarrassing. Funny the way the guy asking the question thought he had to say it louder to make it more understandable! So they were both short of a brick…
Lucky Few, that made me smile in recognition: Talking “louder”. First time I met my future parents-in-law my English was rudimentary. Which meant, naturally, that my boyfriend’s father spoke to me extra loud short of shouting – till his son said to him: “Dad, she is not deaf”.
and there are those, who speak in a whisper and you keep having to say “would you repeat that…” and they start out with the first few words louder and then roll back into a mumbling!
I flunked advanced math in school, but if this question had been included in a test I probably would have passed. Gabbygeezer recently posted..A Poetic Guide to Good Living

It is funny how people think that saying things louder can make it easier to understand!
YOU MEAN THAT DOES NOT WORK??????
Oh my. That’s painful!
That was hard to watch!
Be honest. Didn’t you laugh?

I did not even opt for Advanced Maths. But, like you, I too could have answered this had I been asked.
