I had taken my first jab on March 30, 2021 about which experience, I had written a blog post too. At the time of the vaccination, I was advised to take a second jab between six and eight weeks but, later on, we were advised to take it after twelve weeks. Since the last ten days, I had been getting reminders from the authorities to register for the second vaccination and I wanted to wait till my son and daughter in love who had got their vaccinations on April 2, 2021, also got their reminders before registering.
As it happens so often in my life, we got an alert from our Club that vaccination for members was being organised at the Club premises on July 2, 2021 and we promptly registered for that a few days ago.
We were allotted a slot between 12 noon and 1 pm earlier today for the vaccination and the three of us went on time and got ourselves registered.
An advantage of being a Senior Citizen was that I was promptly taken ahead of the others waiting in the queue for my jab and the whole thing was handled efficiently and with care and concern by the staff handling the process. Manjiree and Ranjan had to wait for their turn for another ten minutes. Once their vaccination was over, they were advised to wait for fifteen minutes near the venue and I waited outside. We were out of the club premises in forty minutes all told.
Quite an impressive performance I should say.
I now have to continue my home stay precaution for two weeks more due to my other health issues after which I am looking forward to more going out adventures.
Congratulations! Hopefully all goes well.
I take vitamin D every day to boost immune system.
Well done!
If only more people would do it.
We are seeing a significant uptick here in Arkansas and I fear there may be another surge in a couple of weeks. Our Independence Day holiday is this weekend and the Covidiots will be out celebrating. The Delta variant now accounts for about 30% of all cases and climbing. 93% of all identified cases are people who are not vaccinated and those identified cases who have been vaccinated are seeing mild symptoms.
Karen had a visit to an orthopedic clinic in Little Rock today. For the first time since February 2020, we were able to go into a medical facility without wearing masks. Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated. They didn’t ask to see our cards, but we had them with us.

Thank you Mike. The situation here too is more or less the same but I suspect that we have more covidiots than you do. While we are told that we need not wear masks after two weeks, I suspect that it would still be prudent to do so for some more time.
Same here in Indonesia. There are even some uneducated people who don’t believe that covid is real.
Thank you Tikno. I hope that you stay safe too.
I had my second vaccination some time ago. Infection rates are climbing rapidly in the UK but because so many people have been vaccinated not many people are going to hospital. Most of the covid restrictions are due to be scrapped on July 16, and it remains to be seen what that will do to infection rates.
Over here, the second wave is on the wane but, we are being warned of a possible third wave. People who have got both doses of the vaccine however are less prone to get the covid but, we have no dearth of covidiots here.
