I got this comment in one of my blog posts from ‘arthritis natural remedies’

“Howdy! I understand this is somewhat off-topic but I had to ask. Does running a well-established website like yours take a massive amount work? I am completely new to blogging but I do write in my journal everyday. Iā€™d like to start a blog so I can share my personal experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for brand new aspiring blog owners. Thank you!”

I have no intention of responding but I am interested in finding out from my readers what an appropriate response would be.

  1. it’s one of the better spam messages but the only response they would ever get from me is swift deletion

  2. I get them a lot Ramana, & I simply mark them as spam & do not reply. They know they are spamming by advertising on your blog.
    Keith.

  3. What interests me more than anything, Ramana: How can anyone be bothered to write such …. thinking they’d get a reply? It’s always, more or less, the same staple comment.

What should you do? Nothing. Though having said that: You were one of the first to alert me that my email contacts have been compromised. My father took action, and wrote back to the culprit. In no uncertain terms. Oh dear. Makes me smile. He has been left in peace since. Everyone else of my contacts not quite so lucky. Am in knots. And don’t seem to be able to muster both time and know how to sort it out.

    1. My spam filter catches all of them but every now and then a creative attempt catches my eye and this did that I shared. I don’t bother normally and just delete the lot.
