After days of hot muggy listlessness, the pluviophile in me was treated to a grand treat. Copious rains with thunder and lightning at 5.00 pm. You can see that we have had to switch on the compound lamps outside.

I had not hear that phrase. I love the rains for all the green-ness they bring. But not when it’s cold and rainy at the same time.
I have been in such weather in Europe and can readily agree. Our monsoons are a different ball game altogether.
Love your courtyard, tell me oh wise one is there a word for a fog lover? I absolutely love a good fog.

I tried to find a word for a fog lover and the search engine kept taking me to dog lover! Sorry WWW, no luck.
How about making up one?
“Brumephile?”
Excellent idea.
The courtyard is so lovely! Congrats on a nice shower to give some relief.
Thank you Kaitlin. I love to sit there in the sun during our winter months.
it’s just beautiful. and to hear thunder!
it’s perfect.
from a fellow rain (And Fog!) lover. xo
As I write this, we are back at our sunny brightest with day time temperature touching 93 degrees F and by nightfall, going down to 84.
Thank you for sharing this. I love the term “pluviophile.”
I wonder if there are degrees of “pluviophilness?” Can we be choosy in the type of rain we most enjoy?

I suppose that there must be but, I am not aware of them. I can go into raptures with just a shower as well as a thunder storm.
I’ve learnt a new word today. I could be a Pluviophile if I lived in a hot country, but not here in the UK! My garden needs some rain though.
I can understand why you cannot be a pluvophile in the UK. When I am there, I am not either.
