If there is one single travail that I would latch on to, it would be to pick a topic to write on when one is writing a blog for fun like all of my regular readers and I do. For us, blogging is an outlet for our creative impulses and we just love to show off our prowesses and enjoy being read and commented on.
And, if by chance the topic is available, finding the content which can do justice to the topic is the next biggest travail. For instance, one of my blogging mentors, when I had just started to blog suggested that I open a book at random and pick the fifth word from the top left corner for ideas for topics. Please try to find ideas to write on when you do find topics using that formula. For this exercise, I opened a page at random from the nearest book available and found the word to be “troubling”. Closely following will be sheer ennui. Particularly when one is going through some stressful times. I recently have been going through this due to some health issues and to get myself to post blogs rather than just crawl into bed takes a lot of willpower.
Since that about sums up my ideas about the travails of blogging, I end this post with my request that other blogger readers, apart from the LBC leave their own ideas as comments. As I mentioned in my first paragraph, if we don’t get comments, we get demotivated and even devastated!
