I often get bulk emails enclosing photographs of sign boards in English that are to say outlandish. These are usually taken by tourists in China, Japan and other non English speaking countries.
India by and large is a non English speaking country but there is a sizable population, primarily urban and semi urban that uses English as the first language and almost every where, one will find sign boards in English apart from the mandatory local language ones.
My friend Anil has just sent me a photograph of a grand sign board that should cheer my blogger friend Big John no end. Big John, this was taken in the Punjab, on the Indian side. You naturally will not find this across the border.
