Being a hardcore loyalist to my hometown, I could not help sharing a couple of things on my facebook page about my hometown Pune.
The first one was about the owner of a Petrol Pump Ketan Gala, who posts jokes on a wall to amuse his clients. The next was the picture of the milestone before you enter our glorious city.
Paatya means slate used by school children. In this context it means follow our ways.
Now do you understand why I love Pune? Welcome to my glorious city.
Yay, Pune! I especially love the first sentiment. 🙂
The Keep Calm one reminds me of a onesie that was a spoof on the British Keep Calm and Carry On. It had the crown logo, but the words were: I don’t want to be calm!” You could just picture a screaming baby in it.

That sentiment describes us alright as you should know by now about at least one Punekar!
Very funny indeed.

but that it has a wonderful sense of humor. that’s the best of all!
and…
i like that “don’t break yourself trying to fix someone else.”
there are times you just need to cut your losses and move on.

Yes Tammy, it is a fun place to live in. It has its minuses too but by and large they are negligible and can easily be overlooked.
When in Pune, do as the Puneans do.

A Punekar will go ballistic if he hears himself being called a Punean!
Nope. I need more such as your favorite restaurant, games you played there, the types of friends you had, the childhood… More! lol
