Wholesomeness is defined as the “quality of being wholesome ( healthy or good for you)”
I submit that if one is wholesome, where is the need for hope? Theoretically, one is already fulfilled!
On the other hand, one can always hope for wholesomeness!
This is my take on this week’s Friday 5 On 1 blog post topic. The other four bloggers who write on the same topic every Friday are Sanjana, Padmum, Shackman and Conrad. This week’s topic was suggested by Sanjana. Please do go over to their respective blogs to see what they have to say on the topic. Thank you.
I don’t even know how to comment! 😆
You could try “Wow! Can you hear me clapping?”
When I hear “wholesome” I always think “virtuous”, red cheeks, clear eyes, healthy, sound. You know like that little girl on the label of the bottle of cod liver oil of my earliest childhood. She basically looked like me (Shirley Temple) except a bit more enthusiastic at the thought of the next spoonful coming. I guess my hope was that whilst staying wholesome I’d soon be master of my own spoon.

Modesty, thy name is Ursula.
I’m always hoping I’ll remain wholesome.
You are and you will. My best wishes that you do.
isn’t that related to the food we eat…
often used by advertisements for all manner of food, life, and so forth…even if in fact, it’s only a 10% sideline of the product.
Catherine de Seton recently posted..Well Foundation, Flour, Golden…
Yes indeed. It has however acquired other nuances over the last few decades due again to advertising I think.
this is a short, cute take on this topic 🙂
You are the first one ever to call one of my posts cute! Thank you.
Can’t you be wholesome and still have things you are wishing for?
Sure. I was being philosophical whereas in real life, our wants don’t seem to end do they?
